Little Tree Yogis
Movement - Mindfulness - Art
Little Tree Yogis offers a calm and safe space for children to grow, learn and play through movement, mindfulness and art. We focus on nurturing the holistic development and potential of each child, providing opportunities for connection to self and one's environment, empowering children with the tools supportive of navigating their internal and external worlds.
Classes are age-appropriate and tailor-made to the needs of the child; incorporating a combination of breathwork, mindfulness, stories, yoga-inspired movement, partner poses, art and creativity.
With love at its core, Little Tree Yogis strives to nurture the emotional, physical, mental and spiritual parts of each child, connecting mind, body and spirit to foster a balanced, happy and healthy child.
Bridget Malherbe
Founder of Little Tree Yogis
Bridget is passionate about children and providing them with the tools to assist them in navigating the demands and expectations of day-to-day life.
Bridget studied Sports Science and completed her postgraduate in Education at Stellenbosch University, South Africa. From a young age, she has been drawn to children and caring for them and has been working with children inside the classroom and on the sports field for the past 15 years.
Movement has always been supportive of Bridget’s well-being and development and after discovering yoga and mindfulness in 2017, her life has been greatly enhanced. This led Bridget to complete her kids-yoga teacher training and integrate more mindfulness into the school classroom, which revolutionized her teaching environment. This, together with her love for learning, connection, play and creativity, lead to the birth of Little Tree Yogis.
She strongly believes in creating a world where each child feels seen, heard and safe enough to share their thoughts and feelings; and that this can be made possible through whole-heartedly loving our children and helping them nourish their own self-love and self-care.
Testimonials
"I just saw your Facebook post! (referring to a picture of her 2 children in a partner pose). And it explains why they have been loving each other this week and often run up to each other and say, 'I love you!' Thank you!"

Bridget is the most kind hearted soul you will ever meet. Children are just drawn to her warm smile and gentle nature.
My 6 year old son absolutely loves his yoga time with Bridget.
When asked what his favourite part is he will say " the yoga part of course,"
but his favourite is creating the art work together, after the yoga practise.

"Little Tree Yoga was so fun! I enjoyed everything including Bridget. She calmed me down after a hard term of school. I leant two things: To be kind to everyone and I learnt that the world is more beautiful than you have ever imagined."

“You have taught me so much this year… like how to love others and how to trust myself and I am sure you have made a huge impact on others like you have on me.”
